This is actually my second attempt at this game. First one ended in that dreadful loss when some wizard had tapped a city to cast the spell of something. So my second attempt, and this has ended in the exact same way. I have found out why. Apparently you have to watch when some lord is attacking some city. In my case it reads "Goblin Lord attacking Sahmal's Haven". And I can't make it to that Haven in due time. Anyway, I guess I have to try once more. My decks are mostly the same in Shandalar - some combination of black and blue. Here's the deck from my second attempt:

For some reason I get 63 cards, though the game insists on 60. I don't know. (Error in my deckbuilder, fixed). It's weird how mellow so powerful spells are along with such weak creatures. I mean I definitely like drawing one of my three Ancestral Recalls, but it is not devastating to cast two in a row. Imaging being allowed to play four of what is arguably one of the most powerful cards in the game, in a format like legacy of vintage. Anyway, I'm on to my third attempt at this game.
